Panel: Recycled Copper Use and the Circular Economy: Drivers and Barriers
Copper recycling plays a key role in developing a circular economy and enabling the clean energy transition. Fabricators, because they purchase and use scrap, are critical to realizing sustainable benefits and reducing waste via the recycling process. Earlier this year, Guidehouse Insights conducted a survey of global copper fabricators to understand the drivers and barriers they face in the use of recycled copper. This panel will discuss the survey’s results, including core drivers such as cost and ESG concerns, as well as next steps needed to develop a common methodology for collecting data.
