Copper is fundamental to the green energy transition. To support a just transition for people and the environment, copper needs to be produced responsibly. The Copper Mark is a credible assurance framework to promote responsible production practices and demonstrate the copper industry’s contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Copper Mark provides site-based, independent third-party assurance of responsible production practices from mine to metal. It enables consumers, investors, and customers to identify and invest in responsible producers of copper.
The Copper Mark entity is a separate organization to ensure its independence from the industry it assesses. The ICA partners closely with the Copper Mark and continues to support the organization.
