ICA Industry Leaders Awards
Recognizing the People Shaping the Future of Copper
Nominations Close: August 20, 2026
The International Copper Association (ICA) Industry Leaders Awards is a merit-based professional recognition program celebrating outstanding individuals across the global copper industry. Twelve professionals are recognized annually, three in each of the four categories, and profiled in a standardized publication released at the ICA Industry Leaders Forum (ILF) on October 22nd with recognition at our ILF reception.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Awards will be given in the following categories:
Sustainability
Professionals advancing measurable progress in environmental, social, or circular outcomes.
Innovation
Professionals driving novel technical, operational, or strategic solutions.
Communication
Professionals elevating the narrative and reputation of the copper industry.
Rising Stars
Professionals with fewer than five years in the industry demonstrating exceptional contribution and trajectory

WHAT WINNERS RECEIVE
If selected, you will receive
A featured profile in the ICA Industry Leaders publication shared at the Industry Leaders Forum and across ICA channels
Recognition at the Industry Leaders Forum reception awards ceremony at LME Week in London along with a medallion to display.
Visibility across ICA global channels through a press release, video, and social media and a winner's toolkit to share your achievement.
Inclusion in the ICA Industry Leaders alumni community and a chance to connect with fellow industry leaders and peers.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Eligibility
To apply for this award, you must meet and abide by all of the following criteria:
- Employed by an ICA member company in good standing. A list of ICA member companies can be found here. There are no restrictions on age, gender, geography, or background.
- Self-nomination or company nomination accepted
- Apply only to one category per nominee, per year
- Winners must wait two years to reapply; non-selected nominees may reapply the following year
HOW YOU'LL BE EVALUATED
Judges will evaluate your answers based on the following criteria:

| Industry Contribution Beyond Own Role | 20% |
| Trajectory & Future Potential | 10% |
Names will be anonymized during initial scoring. Any ICA member judges will not review applicants from their own company.
What Do I Need to Apply?
- Basic information (name, company, role, category)
- Responses to 4 short essay questions (250–300 words each)
- One internal supporting reference contact information
- A professional headshot and short bio (150 words)
KEY DATES
Applications Are Due August 20
Winners Announced: Winners will be notified on October 21, 2026. Winners will be publicly announced the next day at the Industry Leaders Forum in London on October 22nd.
